10 Reasons Why iPhone-X Is a Bad Buy

10 Reasons Why iPhone-X Is a Bad Buy

Here are 10 specification based and hence solid reasons why iPhone-X is a bad buy.

1. Pricing

It is priced like a brick of Gold. Like Rs. 86,000 a piece while you can get the Samsung Flagship phone for anywhere around Rs 56,000.

2. Competition

Compare it to a Samsung Galaxy S8, the iPhone X flounders in every aspect. You name it, the Samsung Flagship wins the day.

Here’s how:

3 Weight
Galaxy S8  155 g  iPhone X 174 g

Yeah that’s right, brick price and brick weight. What are you paying Rs. 86,000 for?

Samsung Galaxy S8

Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors

iPhone X

Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors

5.8 inches (~83.6% screen-to-body ratio) 5.8 inches (~82.9% screen-to-body ratio)
1440 x 2960 pixels (~570 ppi pixel density) 1125 x 2436 pixels (~458 ppi pixel density)

Type is same. Size is Same. S8 still beats the iPhone X in pixel density.

5 Memory

Card slot

Samsung Galaxy S8

microSD, up to 256 GB (uses SIM 2 slot) – dual SIM model only

iPhone X

No (lol)

Internal 64 GB, 4 GB RAM 64/256 GB, 3 GB RAM

Not only is the RAM lesser than the S8, it doesn’t even have the extra card slot.

6 Camera

Samsung Galaxy S8

12 MP, f/1.7, 26mm, phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash

iPhone X

Dual 12 MP, phase detection autofocus, OIS, 2x optical zoom, quad-LED (dual tone) flash

Features 1/2.5″ sensor size, 1.4 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 9MP image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection, Auto HDR, panorama Geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 8MP image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR (photo/panorama)
Video 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, HDR, dual-video recording 2160p@24/30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/120/240fps
Secondary 8 MP, f/1.7, autofocus, 1440p@30fps, dual video call, Auto HDR 7 MP, f/2.2, 1080p@30fps, 720p@240fps, face detection, HDR, panorama

Both seem to be delivering same performances. Well almost the same, because again, the Galaxy S8 turns out superior in its front facing camera.

7 Sound

Alert types

Samsung Galaxy S8

Vibration; MP3, WAV ringtones

iPhone X

Vibration, proprietary ringtones

Loudspeaker Yes Yes
3.5mm jack Yes No

It’s all pretty same here. You’re still paying about 30 grand more for something you’re still hoping to find out in the iPhone X.

8 Features

Samsung Galaxy S8

Iris scanner, fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, SpO2 meter

iPhone X

Face ID, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer

Messaging SMS(threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM iMessage, SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Email
Browser HTML5 HTML5 (Safari)
Java No No

Iris Scanner, fingerprint scanner make the Samsung far more sophisticated than the overrated iPhone X. Jesus, what are you paying for in the iPhone X?

9 Battery
Samsung Galaxy S8 iPhone X
Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery Non-removable Li-Ion 2716 mAh battery
Talk time Up to 20 h (3G) Up to 21 h (3G)
Music play Up to 67 h Up to 60 h

Pretty much same here too except that the battery capacity is still lesser than the Android.

10. Waterproofing

And the Final Blow : Samsung Galaxy S8 is waterproof IP68, beats the iPhone X which is IP67.

L to R: S8, S8+ and iPhone X

Do you have a good reason as to why you’d buy the overpriced iPhone X when we have smarter Android Devices in the market? Google 1+5, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 are way better in every possible way.

So don’t be an iDiot.
